Excellent, well-rounded and pleasurable tour
By Chris for Open Houses 27-28 april 2019 4 months ago 5
Christophe is an extremely knowledgable and friendly man who took us for our tour on 27th April 2019. We arrived around 6pm for the last tour of the day, on what had been a particulary busy day at Haut-Goujon with the Lalande de Pomerol Open House weekend being in full swing. Christophe was very accommodating and took us around the property, showing us the VATS, the cellar and storage facilites. There was only me and my girlfriend on the tour and he was very accomodating. We were lucky enough to even try their 2018 en primeur which was a real honour, along with a beautiful 2008 that had been opened in celebration of the day. We were taken through a sample of around 8 different wines, all as part of the free tour. He explained to us the process in perfect English and answered any questions we had. I could not recommend Christophe more highly and will be sure to visit again in the future. Merci beaucoup!
