About the winery

Château du Taillan has been a family property since 1896 but today it is above all a modern story, told by women! Five sisters now hold the reins of the Château located at the gateway to Bordeaux and the Médoc.

What an interesting vineyard, with a very different history than many others. We had an informative tour, and a lovely tasting of several wines. An excellent place to visit!

Beautiful chateau and scenery. The wines we tasted on the tour were fantastic, and although we are not usually fans of rose and white wine, we enjoyed the varieties provided! We bought a bottle of red to enjoy in the gardens after the tour and it was a beautiful setting and nice and quiet. Would highly recommend!
