Château du Tailhas

Purtroppo siamo capitati in piena vendemmia, ma nonostante ciò la proprietà si è dimostrata accogliente e molto disponibile.

My wife and I spent 4 days in Bordeaux visiting different Chateaux and tasting their wines. This was among, if not the very best of our experiences! Jean-Baptiste took a break from unloading a large cartload of freshly picked Merlot grapes into the de-stemmer to provide this tour. We were able to taste ripe Merlot grapes right from the vine, taste the freshly pressed Merlot juice, as well as taste from a vat of Merlot grapes that had been fermenting for a few days; we had arrived at the perfect time! Jean-Baptiste took us into his beautiful tasting room after the cellar tour, and explained the history of this wonderful Pomerol estate, which his grandfather purchased long ago. The room is filled with antique wine and barrel making equipment, along with historical memorabilia (a framed newspaper article showing how their wine was served at a Royal state dinner with Queen Elizabeth!) that is just fascinating. And their wines are absolutely top notch, we really loved them and can't wait until what we ordered arrives at our home in the US! If you are visiting this Pomerol region and love wine, this is a CAN'T MISS place!

Un très bel accueil. On nous très bien expliqué le métier du vin avec beaucoup de passion. La dégustation également a été un très bon moment avec beaucoup d'explications. Une très belle expérience.

Nous vous eu droit à une visite de grande qualité avec de belles explications sur le domaine que ce soit sur l'histoire familiale, les vignes, la vignification, la commercialisation, et la dégustation. M. Tailhas a pris le temps de nous recevoir. Ce fût un vrai plaisir et nous avons senti une personne passionnée par son métier. Nous lui souhaitons une grande réussite pour ces vendanges.

We could not have asked for a better visit. The tour covered the entire cycle for the production of wine with very educational, thorough, and sincere commentary for the winemaker himself. The dégustation was phenomenal. The vineyard ships internationally too.

Visite intéressante faite par l un des propriétaires, dégustation de 3 vins , dommage que le vins de Pomerol soit si cher... acheter 2 bouteilles au lieu de 6 ...

Nous avons passé un très bon moment en compagnie du propriétaire des lieux, passionné par son métier. La découverte du vignoble, les explications précises et la dégustation de plusieurs millésimes ont été parfaites. Un grand merci
