We had such a great time on this wine tasting with Matthieu! He is a true expert who knows what and how to teach to us beginners. The time went super fast with getting to know 6 great wines from around the area. We would for sure return in case visiting Dijon again, but until then we can recommend this tasting to anyone regardless of age or experience. Thank you again! Köszönjük! :)

C'était très sympa, on était 3 et on a passé un très bon moment. Pauline était très disponible, à l'écoute et a répondu à toutes nos questions, elle a vraiment pris le temps pour nous. Un atelier à faire et très intéressant.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Burgundy Wine Masterclass! Most wine tastings we’ve been to have focused on learning a bit about the winemaker and then the specific wines we tasted - lovely, of course - but the Masterclass also taught us a lot about the region, the winemaking process, and - most unique - using sight, smell, and taste to really explore the wine and what you might pair it with to let the wine truly shine. Matthieu started with a short smell “workshop” to help us identify the “notes” we were likely to smell (and taste) and what brings them out in the wine - and then he circled back to those “notes” during the tasting - such a fun way to get a better understanding of what those wine descriptions mean! Matthieu provided all of the information in a comfortable, friendly, and unpretentious environment. He’s so excited to share his knowledge and love of wine! We enjoyed every minute and would recommend this to anyone looking for a unique, educational, and fun wine experience!

The wine tasting we did at the Wine Compass was quite nice. The teacher/class leader Pauline was a good communicator - especially in English, which wasn't her first language - helping us understand all of the different complexities of wine in Burgundy. She walked us through all of the key concepts of wine labeling and understanding what one is drinking when opening a bottle. We also did a blind scent game that was fun. Moreover, we had a really nice array of wine to try. Two were stellar (especially for the price) and we took a few bottles of each home.

This was one of the best wine-tasting experiences I have ever had. Matthieu was friendly and welcoming, and he certainly knew his stuff. The combination of maps, sensory activities, and tasting were as balanced as the wines he chose for us. After several other wine tastings, my friend and I agreed that this was the best, and an outstanding value for the price. Many thanks, Matthieu!
