I had a lovely time at my visit. Maybe it's me but I found the tour really long. There was a lot of information and it was just too long for meer (around 80 minutes before tasting). It's fun to get some information about the house and process of champagne making, but I prefer it shorter.
Fascinating Maison and very high quality Champagnes

Interesting visit to the Maison, including the clos Lanson, located in the city of Reims near the cellar. The tasting was amazing (we chose the Vintage experience) and we tasted the vintage 2013 that was super good and the Clos Lanson 2008 that was amazing. For sure one of the best Maisons in Champagne for me.

The Lanson building entrance is clean with sharp lines. This is foreshadowing for the cuvées you will soon taste. You are greeted at the door by a very pleasant and unassuming receptionist. While you wait for the tour, you may move around the space viewing current offerings. There is an impressive display of vintage bottles vertically displayed on one wall. The tour is informative, particularly for those starting a foray into wine and champagne. Although there are stairs, the Maison has lifts available for mobility impaired. The history room where you begin, combined with historical anecdotes about the city, makes for a nice bit of education. There are two generous pours for sampling at the end of the Emblematic Creation Tour.

What a great experience! We had the champagne making process explained to us from start to finish. The cellars were extremely interesting and the champagne that we tasted at the end was wonderful.

Viste des caves Lanson en famille. Visite guidée très instructive et très intéressante. Nous avons même eu la chance d'apercevoir le chef de caves. On comprend plein de choses sur le Champagne et la dégustation vient terminer la visite sur une note délicieuse. Même les enfants ont appris. On recommande

After the pre-booked tour, it was really enjoyable to be able to taste other champagnes for an additional fee. All six champagnes we tasted were to everyone's taste, although perhaps the 2013 vintage and Clos Lanson 2008 were the most enjoyable. We will come again next time we visit the Champagne region.
