Famille Hugel

What a wonderful tasting at Famille Hugel! The wines were outstanding, from beautifully fresh young vintages to some truly extraordinary older wines. A real treat!But the highlight was undoubtedly Simon, who was absolutely brilliant. Incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely passionate and blessed with a fantastic sense of humour. He brought the wines and Hugel’s history to life with fascinating stories and plenty of laughs.It felt more like sharing great wines with a friend than a formal tasting. We could happily have stayed all afternoon!A truly memorable experience and one of the highlights of our time in Riquwihr

We left the tasting absolutely impressed. Aurélien curated an incredible selection for us to try and was very kind. There are some very good wines in Alsace, but Hugel is on another level. It’s such a shame to have to fly home and not be able to take as many bottles as we’d like...

Very nice wine and experience

Leuke proeverij, goede wijn en een goede host.

We did the tour and tasting with Simon which was an incredible experience. Simon was an amazing host who’s from the region and was able to share a lot of anecdotes with us.It was incredibly special to be able to drive through the vineyards to learn more about the terroir before tasting the wines.The 3 hours flew by. We learnt a lot about Hugel, got to experience the vineyards and drink exceptional wines whilst feeling like we were hanging out with a friend.Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of doing it

We really enjoyed our visit. Louis was really enthusiastic and had a lot of experience. He solved all our doubts and explained to us a lot of things. The wines were really good. We absolutelly recommed the experience!
