Domaine Henry Marionnet

For us, the visit was a 5 ⭐️ rating. We found it informative and we found it a very personal and encouraging experience. Our French is very limited. We were patiently encouraged to speak French but rarely needed to as our tour was conducted in perfect English We are in no way wine experts and do not have discerning wine palettes. Despite this, we were made to feel comfortable and that our questions and wine choices and preferences were valid. We really enjoyed both the tour and the wine tasting. Customer service was excellent. Meeting Mr Marionnet was extra special and we were so touched to be able to see and talk to him. Despute the language barrier between us, his love for the vineyard was clear. A particularly memorable moment for us was seeing Mr Marionnet standing amongst and looking at the vines. Helen’s father is a farmer and the love and devotion Mr Marionnet demonstrated and how he spoke about his vines is exactly how Helen’s father is with his produce. That moment really resonated with us and captured the passion and commitment needed to produce good wine. The wines tasted wonderful, we were delighted to come home with some. In all, we found the visit enjoyable and extremely moving and the vineyard and wine has very special memories for us.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang und anschauliche, kompetente Erläuterungen zum Weinanbau unter besonderer Berücksichtigung von wurzelechten Rebstöcken. Die anschließende Verkostung hat dies eindrucksvoll unterstrichen. Stephanie hat uns so einen äußerst interessanten und köstlichen Nachmittag bereitet, für den wir uns herzlich bedanken!

We took and tour and had a great lesson on the wines with Stephanie. She was very knowledgeable and very pleasant, she was very patient with our lack of French! The wines were all very good.

We were very happy to meet our host and the owner for a detailed explanation of the history of the wine and to taste several different wines before deciding which ones to buy

Really hospitable, had an excellent time trying the wines and learning about the winery

Nous avons été très bien reçu! On nous a préparé une dégustation personnalisée et la personne qui s'occupait de nous a bien décrit les produits et l'histoire du vignoble. On recommande sans hésitation!

We enjoyed our visit there. The wines we tasted were excellent and we purchased a few bottles. The lady spoke excellent English and was very friendly. We will visit again if we are in the area. 

Our wine tasting was interesting and enjoyable, and we bought some of your lovely wines. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were hoping for a tour of the vineyards and maybe see some of the wine-making process but this obviously wasn’t included. So my comment would be that the experience would be greatly enhanced by the inclusion of a guided tour.
