About the winery

Château Saint Ahon was built in the 14th century and belonged to Charles de Montesquieu in the 18th century. In 1985, this Cru Bourgeois was acquired by Count and Countess Bernard de Colbert. Three generations have lived here ever since.

It was very nice. We enjoyed everything: the estate, the lunch, the guided tour and the wine tasting. We were the only ones there, so we could enjoy the calm and relaxing atmosphere of the gardens. It is a very good idea to give visitors a possibility to walk around the estate on their own and have lunch with a bottle of wine under the trees with a view on the vineyard. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. Overall the experience was perfect and we enjoyed it a lot!

Visite parfaite entre amis. La guide était vraiment impliquée et passionnée, on a senti qu’elle connaissait parfaitement son sujet. Très bons échanges, et on est repartis avec quelques bouteilles : La Petite Sœur et La Canaille.

We had a very pleasant visit with a very helpful host. We enjoyed the trio of wines offered for tasting and purchased a couple of bottles. The location was very convenient for a visit from Bordeaux city centre. We would recommend a visit to this Chateau to any of our friends

Hostess was charming and welcoming. Only one style of wine was provided with tasting from two different years. Wine was average and overall tasting was disappointing.

Au cours de visites de différents vignobles de la région, on a choisi de s'y arrêter pour ses jardins en plus des vins proposés. Malheureusement, il n'y avait pas d'animaux à ce moment là (seule raison pour laquelle j'ai mis un 4/5). En revanche, les affiches explicatives le long du chemin sont très claires, le personnel est honnête, à l'écoute et disponible pour la dégustation. Je recommande vivement !
