Outside the wine trail, near the Valley of Munster, the hillsides of Wihr-au-Val rise until 500m of height. The granitic grounds and the extreme conditions of culture on these foothills of Vosges allow the pure and subtle expression of the Alsatian vines.
Native of Beaujolais, Dominique met Henri on the benches of the school of Beaune and it is ... quite naturally that they wished to perpetuate the family vineyard of the 19th century by creating their own wine storehouse.
On 15 hectares, they work on the range of Alsatian wines according to a sustainable vine growing applying the principles of an environment-friendly agriculture: cultural practices minimizing the pollution of waters, the natural enherbement alternated, no artificial fertilizer, treatments limited to the bare minimum avoiding chemicals, the consideration of the impact carbon for all the strategic choices of the vineyard in the marketing.
