About the winery

Château Pape Clément is one of the oldest Grand Crus of Bordeaux. The vineyard, where the first harvests took place in 1252, was implanted in the 13th century by Bertrand de Got, the younger child of a noble family of the region of Bordeaux. An excellent afternoon!

The château and its grounds were beautiful, the tour was the perfect length with an incredibly informative, engaging and friendly guide. Also within easy reach of Bordeaux centre by public transport which was an added bonus (take bus 4 or tram b)!

This tour and tasting experience at Chateau Pape Clément was excellent. From the personalized tour to the in-depth tasting discussion, we greatly enjoyed our time. For international guests, such as ourselves from Australia, this is a must-do to immerse yourself in French wine culture.

A great tour today hosted by a lovely tour guide who spoke great English and provided lots of detail and history of the vineyard. Nice wines to taste afterwards. Really recommend if you are in Bordeaux, it’s a very accessible vineyard from the city centre.

This is a classic Château with tons of history. The place is really well preserved and is quite interesting to visit. The explanations were spot on and the people were very nice.
