About the winery

Château Pape Clément is one of the oldest Grand Crus of Bordeaux. The vineyard, where the first harvests took place in 1252, was implanted in the 13th century by Bertrand de Got, the younger child of a noble family of the region of Bordeaux. Loved the Chateau! Stunning grounds and the wine was delicious! The tour was not great, you couldn't hear a word so we got bored. She was too quiet so ended up losing interest. id suggest just visiting the grounds and skipping the tour.

White wine was nice but would be a buyer at about a third of its price. Second label wine pretty forgettable on the red side. Grand Cru was a very nice wine but would be a buyer at half the price. No real attempt to educate us. No attempt to sell us on buying wine. Basically no value.

Recommended tour . Close to Bordeaux city. The Chateaux is very well maintained and clean. We completed the tour with 3 wines tasting . We were 20 peoples which is good and easy manageable. Strongly recommended
