Domaine du Closel

The self-guided tour was really unique and took us on a walk around the vineyard and grounds of the property - as well as the vines we saw some interesting wildlife on the walk. We were lucky with the weather as it was sunny, I am not sure the self-guided tour would have been as good in the rain! After the walk we were treated to a tasting of the wines. The young woman who presented the wines to us spoke excellent English and explained the different characteristics of the wines. I would recommend this visit!

We were welcomed - in English - and given a quick summary of how the visit was organised. We were then, armed with a useful map, given free rein to explore the beautiful grounds and inspiring vineyard. The walk up to the vines is steep, but you are rewarded with stunning views over the neighbouring village and countryside. The information cards, dotted around the estate, give fascinating insights into the history of the domaine, its biodiversity and planting. Benches are located at strategic intervals to sit and appreciate the views. A delightful experience. The wine tasting was well-managed and informative, and we are looking forward to enjoying our purchases. If you can time your visit to coincide with the opening hours of the bistrot in the village (Le Chenin), do take the opportunity to enjoy lunch there.

L’accueil et le conseil était super, l’explication durant la dégustation était au top et permettait de bien comprendre ce qui était présenté.Le domaine en lui même est très agréable et permet de faire une chouette balade en passant par les vignes.Je conseille à 100%Morgane

Le domaine est joli, ça fait une balade sympa ! Cerise sur le gâteau avec ces vins qui sont tous bons, il y en a pour tous les goûts !

La visite était intéressante et la dégustation était bonne. Le dialogue avec le guide était génial et engageant. Les vins étaient bons. La cuvée "Eau de Pluie" était particulièrement délicieuse.

La visite était sympa, cependant, la dégustation était peut-être un peu trop sommaire, quoi qu'il en soit les vins étaient délicieux.
