Champagne Jacquinot & Fils

Erg leuke toer van een klein champagnehuis. De tour begeleider was erg vriendelijk en gaf een duidelijke uitleg van het hele proces van champagne maken. Veel toegankelijker dan de grote commerciële huizen en de champagnes doen er niet voor onder.

Wij hebben bewust gekozen voor een kleiner champagnehuis, dat bleek een goede keus! Na een goed ontvangst hebben we een erg leuke rondleiding gehad. Onder indruk van de met de hand gegraven kelder op 20 meter onder de grond. Het hele productieproces wordt uitgelegd inclusief de bijbehorende machines en werkplekken. De champagnes zijn echt heerlijk!

Warme ontvangst door de gastvrouw. Tijdens deze tour waren er geen geheimen. Erg leuk om naast de ‘grote’ champagnehuizen om deze iets kleinschaligere te bezoeken. Erg lekkere champagnes ook geproefd waaronder een Blanc de Noir!

A really enjoyable and informative tour and tasting. So pleased we chose a smaller champagne house as you get to see the equipment used on a small scale - bottling, corking, labelling etc - rather than on an industrial scale. Our guide, whose name I sadly forget, gave great insights and spoke impeccable English, all with a certain humour. Highly recommended.

We werden rondgeleid bij dit familiebedrijf. Het is indrukwekkend om de kelder te zien waar de champagne wordt gerijpt. Natuurlijk was het leuk en lekker om een aantal verschillende champagnes te proeven.

Vi hade en mysig och informativ rundtur och provsmakning. Tjejen som höll i rundturen och provsmakningen var kunnig, vänlig och glad. Man behövde inte ha så varma kläder som vi trodde utan shorts och t-shirt räckte bra. Allt kändes familjärt och välkomnande.

This is a small champagne house and it’s set back off the main avenue. I was a little dubious but I’m so glad we chose this one over one of the bigger houses. The young lady who showed us around (sorry I can’t remember her name) was lovely. She knew everything there was to know about the history of the house and answered all our questions. We saw where they keep the grape juice, the cellars, the bottling and labelling process. She explained every step really well. Lovely to see how most of it is still done by hand - it’s not just an industrial factory. The tasting was fun and we were given explanations of each of the 3 champagnes we tasted. The blanc de blanc was so delicious we bought a case. I would definitely recommend Jacquinot et fils if you want a more traditional experience.
