Champagne Comtesse Lafond

Four of use enjoyed a wonderful day touring LaFond Caves and tasting three unique champagnes. We purchased several cases of each champagne we tasted. Enough said. We also tasted brandy and wines from other holdings associated with LaFond. We will for sure return to LaFond Caves for a follow-on visit on our next trip to Epernay. Our tour guide Julian was wonderful as he shared insights that make the LaFond caves stand out as a "must visit" during a stay in Epernay.

This tour was the best. Julia, our guide, was spectacular . Her knowledge about the estate was amazing. Going into the mansion to taste was a high light as was when Julia took the cork off a bottle of champagne with a sabre!!! Highly recommend. Magnificent grounds, the history all made for a great experience. Julia is a true gem

Die Tour hat großen Spaß gemacht und ist sehr kurzweilig. Das Verkosten des Champagners an unterschiedlichen Orten der Tour ist charmant und wir haben ihn alle genossen. Besonders das Öffnen der Flaschen mit dem Schwert war ein schönes Highlight.

This was the absolute highlight of our visit to Epernay. The chateau and wine cellar are beautiful and the tour was wonderful. Our guide was amazing, so passionate and knowledgeable. We had further tours on the avenue after this and I can hand on heart say that this was overwhelmingly the best. So relaxed, easy, informative and with some beautiful wines. Thank you to our guide for making our experience what it was.

Posto eccezionale ed esperienza bellissima ! Tre champagne ottimi bevuti con una guida molto gentile ! Siamo stati molto contenti!

Un excellent accueil et des superbes vins proposés à la dégustation. Nous avons eu la chance d’être les seuls à avoir réservé le créneau et d’avoir donc une visite privée pendant laquelle nous avons eu une conversation intéressante et agréable avec un des sommeliers du domaine. L’histoire du château et de la jeune marque Comtesse Lafond est passionnante. On en apprend moins sur les particularités de la méthode champenoise, mais ce n’est pas le but de cette visite. A conseiller à celles et ceux qui ont déjà visité une cave plus « classique ».
