Château Ambe Tour Pourret

We had a fantastic time. The winery is perfectly located, just a 10-minute walk from Saint-Émilion. We were welcomed with a very detailed technical explanation of their production process, followed by a tasting of 3 different wines. The picnic was spectacular and the perfect way to end the visit.

I had made a tour and tasting reservation for Château Ambe Tour Pourret the night before. I took public transit to Saint-Émilion from Bordeaux (>30m), walked to the city center (takes ~25m), then after discovering a bit headed off to my reservation at the winery (say another ~20m walking). I arrived earlier than my time slot, but as luck would have it…I was the only one for my timeslot at 16:45 and was able to ask (and answer) all the questions I wanted to! Clement was an excellent guide and I learned a lot about the strict requirements for organic grand cru wine in Saint-Émilion. I enjoyed the tour, and of course the tasting as well. I really liked they had 100ml travel bottles because I don’t have any checked luggage, so I bought a few! They also have a cooking experience, and if you get there around lunchtime they have meals as well. Great experience!! Merci beaucoup!!

Nous avons passé un super moment au château Ambe Tour Pourret ! La visite guidée était top ! Merci à Clémentine pour la petite visite privative à deux en français pendant que son collègue faisait la visite en anglais. La diversité des vins à déguster nous a par ailleurs beaucoup plu !

La visita que hemos realizado ha estado muy bien. La guía, que es muy simpática y amable, Florence, nos ha explicado con todo detalle el proceso de elaboración del vino. A continuación hemos realizado una cata de tres vinos buenísimos con un maridaje de quesos espectaculares. ¡Ha sido todo un acierto!

Nous avons passé un bon moment lors de cette visite très intéressante, Floriane est accueillante et sympathique ! Les vins, crémant et fromages de la dégustation nous ont beaucoup plu :)
