Family owned estate for 8 generations, we are working through the principles of organic farming. The owner did a great job of explaining the Bordeaux area, how the different soils impact the wine tannins, aging process, and the wines we tasted. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the vineyard and the wines we tasted.

We had a wonderful time visiting Château Bernateau. A family member of the owner was incredibly welcoming and provided a warm, detailed explanation of their organic wine production. The atmosphere was very friendly, and we truly enjoyed the wine tasting experience.

It was a marvellous visit, and our guide, whose name I completely forget, she was at University doing her Tourism degree was amazing. One of our group was very knowledgeable about wine, and she handled it excellently, and they sort of tag-teamed our questions about the wine process. We had a lovely tasting on the lawn, it was an exceptional visit from start to finish. Even my hopeless 19 year old son enjoyed it.
