My wife and I had a really lovely time at Château Bernateu. We were impressed by the 11 generation history and that they harvest mostly by hand. Some of their vines are 100 years old! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions with fascinating information. Their wines are exquisite and affordable. We would highly recommend visiting if you're in Bordeaux! We got to do everything that was described in the tour activities, and more.We felt welcome from the moment we parked. The homey vibe of Château Bernateu was unforgettable. I broke my foot recently and have a cast on my leg; using crutches and sometimes a wheelchair was no problem at Château Bernateu.Highly recommend this Château

Pierrick, whose family has owned this winery for over 11 generations, gave a warm welcome and very informative tour on making wine using a verified organic process followed by a nice tasting of their very good wines. Lovely tour

A great experience in a lovely and calmer setting some 6km from Saint Emillion. Karine the co-owner of Chateau Bernateau which has been in the family for 300 years, speaking in perfect English, gave the most comprehensive and informative winery visit I have ever experienced. We were fortunate to visit at the beginning of the harvest to see the grapes being brought to the chai for crushing. The Grand Cru wines from 2019, were reflective of the great care Chateau Bernateau takes building on centeries of experience. The best value winery education in Saint Emillion.

Du type de sol jusqu'au chais de maturation : chaque étape de la vinification est expliquée avec passion et précision. Le domaine est beau et le vin exquis. Je recommande sans hésiter!
