About the winery

The estate Frederic Mabileau is nestled in a small village called Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil, located in the confines of Touraine and Anjou. Fabulous terroir, classified in 2010 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is here that I grew up and that I live. For us, grapes are our jewels. We pick them by hand and we give them the greatest attention, ... see more

Fascinating tour with good explanations
By Keith for In discovery of the winery's soul 9 months ago 4.3
We saw the vats in the cellars with a good explanation of the wine making process followed by an instructive and insightful tasting. A very worthwhile visit.
Un bon moment

L'accueil était plus qu'agréable, avons passé un agréable moment avec une dégustation très variée
Great for organic wines
By Daniel for In discovery of the winery's soul a year ago 5
Small tour but very detailed. Even though it was harvesting season they took time for us and made us feel comfortable. The wine tastes very natural. Great! We love it! Love to come back again as they want to keep their business small and therefore we won't find many places to buy the wine.
Harvest time and wine
By John for In discovery of the winery's soul a year ago 5
It was harvest time and we were able to see the grapes being sorted and put into the fermentation tanks. I've always wanted to see this process and our host explained it all to us very clearly, answering all our questions with enthusiasm. Plus, we tasted several wines and they were delicious!
