Château Saint-Hilaire - Domaine Uijttewaal

Domaines Uijttewaal is the family winery created by Adrien Uijttewaal, a farmer with Dutch roots.

In the 1980s, Adrien left the family dairy farm to harvest grapes in the Nord Médoc. He then became a winemaker and built a vineyard from scratch, now covering 45 hectares, on the edge of the estuary in the commune of Queyrac, with the ambition of ... creating wines in the pure tradition, recognised for their high quality. He has never abandoned his first passion, animals, and now runs a farm of 180 Blonde d'Aquitaine cows alongside wine production.

In 2017, his daughter Elise joined the winery with the aim of raising the profile of the estate's wines in France and abroad. She is behind the development of the winery's wine tourism activities, which include a number of events throughout the year.
