About the winery

Nestled in the heart of the village of Saint-Emilion, Couvent des Jacobins has been a family business since 1902. Visit was fascinating historically. Guide spoke good English, was knowledgeable and we could tell that she enjoyed her job. For the price of the visit, we could have been able to taste at least another year. We ordered wine to be shipped.

Une visite menée par une guide très commerçante, dans le bon sens du terme, à la fois pédagogue, claire et pleine de bons conseils. L’expérience est bien expliquée, conviviale et enrichissante. Le geste commercial offert en fin de parcours est très apprécié, tout comme la dégustation du rosé, une belle surprise !

Andres gave us a clear and thorough explanation of the art of wine making in the old and beautiful caves of the jacobin monks. He managed to keep out children’s attention and he is really passionate about wine culture. We really enjoyed the visit and the superb wines we tasted.
