A good option in St Émilion

Visited as a family group with varying levels of knowledge and interest in wine. All found it an informative and pleasant experience. We chose to visit Mauvinon as it offers something a little different in St Émilion appellation: it has an unusually wide range of wine types for the area and its organic and biodynamic practices differentiate it from others. The tour and tasting had a good mix of explanation and opportunities for question and discussion and a pleasing lack of formality or pretension. We were the only people on our tour that morning which seemed to add an element of personalisation.  Recommended as an alternative of some of the larger scale, more traditional vineyard visiting options in the areas.

A beautiful chateau, and a fantastic tour that provided more interesting detail regarding the wine industry, as well as the specific biodynamic techniques they use at the vineyard. Our guide was brilliant, and we were able to have our wine and cheese under the trees in front of the chateau
