About the winery

Originally from the North of France, the Desgrousilliers family has switched from cereals and dairy farming to vine growing. Since 2002, we have been tending our vineyard with undiminished enthusiasm. The Moulin de l'Horizon hillock is a high point in the Loire Valley (120m alt.) in the heart of the Saumur appellation.

Jennifer was a great host and gave a nice overview of the caves and winemaking in general as well as the special wines produced at Moulin de L’Horizon. She was able to answer all of our questions and made the visit very personal. Great tasting and very knowledgeably conducted.

Visite très bien organisée et personnel très agréable. Le petit jeu avec des questions a rendu l’expérience encore plus ludique, surtout avec des enfants qui ne se sont pas ennuyés un seul instant. Très bonnes explications sur la dégustation et excellent crémant. Le jus de raisin pétillant pour les enfants était une belle attention. Bon rapport qualité/prix.
