About the winery

Château du Taillan has been a family property since 1896 but today it is above all a modern story, told by women! Five sisters now hold the reins of the Château located at the gateway to Bordeaux and the Médoc.

We had a great visit and learned a lot about the wine making process. Our guide was amazing. There was only one other couple during our tour which was nice to have a small group.

Our party of 8 could not have been more happy about our experience at the Chateau. The host was very informative, the wine was great, and the caves were wonderful, full of beauty and history.

En tant qu'arrivant et nouveau résident dans le bordelais, nous avons, accompagnés avec un couple d'amis de notre région initiale, fait une exceptionnelle visite du chais particulier et de la dugustation de vins magnifique. Nous en sommes repartis chargés de nombreuses bouteilles. Les explications claires apportées par notre guide ont été fort appréciées. A visiter sans détour.

The place is 30 min from Bordeaux by car, and there is a public transport as well. We went with the family and spent a very nice hour with Ludivine, a super nice guide. She explained us the process and was welcoming to questions. The degustation was really complete!. Thank you very much :)

We had a fantastic time visiting Chateau du Taillan. The tour was very informative and entertaining. We loved seeing the ancient wine cellars and production facilities. We really enjoyed sampling different vintages and leaning about their differences. We took our 18 month old child, who was made to feel very welcome throughout the tour.
