About the winery

Château du Taillan has been a family property since 1896 but today it is above all a modern story, told by women! Five sisters now hold the reins of the Château located at the gateway to Bordeaux and the Médoc.

La présentation et les explications sur le vin et les caves de ce château par la personne qui nous a reçu était parfait . Un regret , pas possible de s’approcher et d’entrer au château car un mariage était prévu et comme Il y a des mariages tous les week-ends autant dire que vous ne pourrez pas vous approcher du château, dommage ……

Ludavine was an exceptional. guide absolutely knows all about the process of wine making Im a guide in the Bordeaux Dordogne Region and my first visit to this property. It was lovely to be able to visit the Chateau as well as the ancient barrel rooms underground Caves The wine tasting was very enjoyable Highly recommended

Wonderful and educational tour and tasting. The guide broke down a complicated subject, winemaking, into easily understood chunks of information. She was flexible and personable. The wines were fabulous, and she guided us throughout the tasting without feeling superior. Beautiful property.
