About the winery

Château du Taillan has been a family property since 1896 but today it is above all a modern story, told by women! Five sisters now hold the reins of the Château located at the gateway to Bordeaux and the Médoc.

A place to visit when in Bordeaux

I attended in the Classic visit and it was spectacular. It's a charming and cozy place. My guide, Johanna was friendly and hospitable, the vines I tasted delicious.
Great tour, great wine

Beautiful chateau and scenery. The wines we tasted on the tour were fantastic, and although we are not usually fans of rose and white wine, we enjoyed the varieties provided! We bought a bottle of red to enjoy in the gardens after the tour and it was a beautiful setting and nice and quiet. Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful visit to the chateau. Our guide explained all the details of the establishment in English and did a very good job. The inside is a very old structure and was so I treating to walk through and learn about the history. We were even lucky to have met the owner! Beautiful grounds and there’s even the original grape stomping structure. Now that’s pretty amazing to see! We ended the tour with a tasting of four wines. We left we three and looking forward to adding it to our collection.

Very good guide and nice guide, clear explanations. There were small delay in the begging, but it didn't bother us. Wines were good, took 6 with us.
A wonderful experience

We booked a tour for a Wednesday afternoon and were lucky enough to have our lovely guide all to ourselves as it was so early in the season.. The beautiful chateau and vineyards are a picture perfect backdrop for what was a very professional tour by a charming and very knowledgeable guide. We've learned a lot about the wine making process and what to look out for when buying wine.
