Château du Taillan has been a family property since 1896 but today it is above all a modern story, told by women! Five sisters now hold the reins of the Château located at the gateway to Bordeaux and the Médoc.

Le château Taillan propose un cadre agréable, plus accessible que certains grands château plus prestigieux. Nous y avons été très bien accueillis et la visite nous a permis de découvrir plus en détails le processus d'élaboration d'un grand vin. La visite se termine par une dégustation de 3 vins, rosé, blanc et rouge. Je me ferai un idée plus précise de la qualité des vins à l'occasion ou les conditions seront réunies pour mieux les apprécier. J'ai du mal à juger un vin comme cela en dégustation et ce quel que soit le vin dégusté.

Great visit! We had the privilege to have a 'VIP' tour, meaning we had a private tour, just the 2 of us. Very well done by our host, who spoke perfectly english. We learbed about the process, but also about the history AND the future. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon.
