Château de Rouillac

The historic Château de Rouillac belonged to the famous Baron Hausmann, who acquired the estate in 1864. He commissioned numerous works and linked the horses to the history of Rouillac. He had beautiful stables built. Since then, the estate has produced excellent red wines.

My husband and I really enjoyed our visit at Chateau Rouillac. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable about the chateau and its history. The wines were excellent as well as the chocolate pairings.

We had a great private tour. Our host described the wines from planting to harvest to the making. She answered all our questions. And our wine tasting was fabulous.

Excellente visite faite par la maître de chai, explications historiques et techniques détaillées particulièrement appréciées. Sa passion pour ce domaine et son métier de ressent à chaque moment. Pour ceux qui apprécient de connaître le récit de différents procédés, elle se charge des visites les lundi.
