About the winery

The history of the Gasparoux family in the Bordeaux region began in 1902, when Jean-Baptiste moved to Libourne as a merchant to escape the harshness of life on the beautiful but poor Plateau de Millevaches in Corrèze.

Excellent vineyard and winery tour with interesting vineyard and family history, detailed descriptions and answers to all our questions by Manon, a sweet young and VERY WELL educated family member. She seemed to have a relationship with the wine, and wine-making in general, of a seasoned wine master / Sommelier.We were fortunate that my wife and I, celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary that day, had Manon all to ourselves vs. in a group, maybe due to our 10:00 AM reservation. Even so, I'm confident she would be just as nice, thorough, and accommodating to any group. Even though we didn't have a convenient way to take it with us on the rest of our vacation in France, we purchased a magnum bottle of 2011 La Fleur Ferrand Cuvee Reserve plus a 75 cl (750 ml) bottle of 2015 Haut Ferrand. We will definitely be having a few cases shipped when the 2022 comes out!Merci Beaucoup Manon!!!
