About the winery

Château Chauvin, a Grand Cru Classé since 1955, has belonged since 2014 to the Cazes-Régimbeau family, who are also co-owners of the famous Château Lynch-Bages in Pauillac, a pioneer in wine tourism, which has been receiving numerous visitors for decades.

We arrived early to have a picnic under the tree with a bottle of Folie de Chauvin (recommend you do this!) and then we were treated to a great tour by Matilde. The explanations in the vineyard and cellar were at the right level and we learnt a great deal about the history and winemaking. The cellar is kept in immaculate condition. The tasting was short but sufficient for us to buy some wines with confidence. A highly recommended experience.

The masterclass was a phenomenal experience! We learnt so much about how to taste wine. I feel much better equipped to choose wine in a restaurant and to have a conversation with a sommelier. It was exactly what we were looking for!Thoroughly recommend Château Chauvin
