Domaine Rene Leclerc

I’ve done quite a few vineyard tours over the years and this one was one of the most personal. It really pays to have the process explained by a genuine wine-maker rather than a tour guide. The passion for the art was clear and genuine. The tasting was also informative and whilst I’m not a huge burgundy fan, it was useful to be able to taste the various levels of wine. Would definitely recommend!

This was our 3rd wine tasting in 2 days and by far the best. Bertrand is so passionate about his wine and has a wealth of experience. It was great to see the fermentation area as well as the vast underground celler full of past vintages.As for the wine tasting, all the wines we sampled were truly excellent.. it was refreshing to have a wine tasting that focused on the quality and workmanship of the wines rather than the usual more commercially focused tours found elsewhere.Bertrand really knows his stuff and it was a pleasure to ask him all sorts of questions about wines in general and those from Burgundy.

Une très belle découverte ! Nous avons passé un excellent moment au domaine. L’accueil était chaleureux, les explications passionnantes et la dégustation parfaitement menée. Les vins sont de grande qualité, avec de belles expressions du terroir et beaucoup de caractère. Un grand merci pour ce partage et cette belle expérience. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir et recommandons vivement cette visite !

We were pretty disappointed with this wine tasting to be honest. The size of the tastings was maximum 20mL (1 tablespoon). Very hard to get the actual taste. to be honest for 20 euros to get 3 tablespoons of tasting was pretty disappointing. Then to add to it they state they speak english but unfortunately they don't really. We were keen to know about the wines but really didn't learn anything. Definitely not worth the money.

My friends & I wanted to try some Burgundy wine during a short trip to Dijon, and Rene Leclerc did not disappoint. We were greeted very warmly by the host, Bertrand, and enjoyed our time learning about the winemaking process and visiting the cellars. We were happy to take home a few bottles of Bourgogne and Gevrey-Chambertain. I only wish we had more time to explore the region!Merci pour tout, Bertrand. J'espere qu'on pourra revenir bientôt.

...sauf que c'était un moment magnifique. Dès les premiers moments le courant est passé. Bertrand est un hôte extrêmement agréable, avec la lueur aux yeux dès qu'il se lance dans sa dégustation. Une passion qui transcende et une connaissance approfondie de la matière. La sélection était magnifique et le domaine produit des vins dignes de leurs appelations. La visite était courte, mais malgé tour très informative. Merci!

We had a wonderful time during our visit! We were able to walk through the cellars and winemaking facilities, as well as walk in the vineyards. Bertrand was a very charming and knowledgeable host - he gave us great information about Burgundy as a whole as well as the domaine, its history, and its wines. I particularly loved seeing the vines and learning about their health and the soil. We ended with a tasting of a very nice tasting with a variety of plots, appellations, and vintages. Beautiful wines. I highly recommend!
