La Maison Romane

The adventure of La Maison Romane took root in 2004, when Oronce de Beler decided to leave the capital and settle in Vosne-Romanée, driven by his passion for the great red wines of Burgundy. This move marked the start of a long journey of technical acquisitions and practical experience: teaching winegrowing in Beaune, immersions in the cellars of ... family estates, and then developing a soil-working activity using horses. Gradually, thanks to human exchanges, discoveries and repeated tastings, the La Maison Romane project took shape.

Since 2017, the winery has been based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, in a more spacious vaulted cellar, offering new perspectives and allowing us to think bigger. The heart of our work is based on the vinification of great pinot noirs from the Côte de Nuits, from Nuits-Saint-Georges to Marsannay, as well as chardonnays from the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune.

La Maison Romane is first and foremost a family home, where we cultivate an artisanal and committed approach. Wine is produced here, of course, as well as beer, cider and bread, and pigs are reared in the open air, respecting nature and the seasons.

It's also a convivial place, with a small temporary restaurant open from May to July. We welcome you in the courtyard of the winery to enjoy our sincere cuisine, prepared with produce from the farm, picked and marketed.
