About the winery

The fourth Grand Cru Classé in 1855, Château Branaire-Ducru stretches across one of the finest terroirs in the Médoc, in the heart of the Saint-Julien appellation. Passed down from father to son, the estate is now run by François-Xavier Maroteaux, who is carrying on with conviction the momentum set in motion by his father in the 1990s.

We loved our visit and tour! The guide was excellent and the Chateau is beautiful. One of my favourite houses in Médoc !
Enjoyable and informative tour

We really enjoyed our visit at Chateau Branaire-Ducru the visit was very interesting and different from what we had seen elsewhere and our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. On the down side I would just mention that we would have appreciated to have a fresh glass for each wine as we had experienced at other chateau.
