We are a retired couple from Ottawa, Canada who spent some 4 hours in September 2025, visiting the Domaine Laroche vineyard in Chablis France. The tour offered French guides in legendary form to showcase Chablis wines; the 2 multi-lingual guides displayed quintessential Gallic charm that was wonderfully supported by the magical buildings owned by the Domaine Laroche, by the renowned product line that the Chablis region offers to customers around the world, and via a breadth-taking display of gastronomic wizardy at the nearby Au Fil du Zinc French restaurant. It is clear to us why France remains the unchallenged world leader in the fields of wine, gastronomy, tourism and in its ability to share its joie de vivre with tourists like ourselves.

Tout d'abord visite très complète et passionante de l'obediencerie puis degustation commentée de 5 chablis ( petit chablis , chablis , 2 1ers crus et un grand cru) le tout animé superbement par une jeune et très compétente professionnelle . En tout plus de deux heures passionnantes et gourmandes. Vius pouvez y aller tranquille , vous ne serez pas déçus.

Our tour and tasting were both way beyond our expectations. Regis guided us through the cellar and he was absolutely brilliant in the explanation of the wine making process and the philosophy of the domaine while walking through the stunning historical cellars. He also held a very professional and informative tasting of their elegant Chablis wines highlighting their specificity, the terroir effect, giving us many food pairing suggestions, which we really appreciated as sommeliers. It was one of the best tour and tasting we ever had. Don’t miss it.

The tour of this stunning former monastery was above and beyond our expectations! The monastery itself and the many different cellars and courtyard are stunning. Our wine expert was amazing, talking so much about the history and the wines. We all thought he was fantastic - really knowledgeable and very entertaining! The wine tasting was in a lovely setting; we are able to try the different Chablis with a detailed explanation of each. We hope to return next year. It was the highlight of our stay!

Merci à Éméline (?) pour la visite guidée de l'obédiencerie, riche en histoire et toutes ses explications, très claires, très animées, avec toujours un peu d'humour et de soleil ! La dégustation était également très sympa, nous avons apprécié découvrir les vins du domaine Laroche. Nous repenserons à ce petit moment quand on en dégustera chez nous!
