About the winery

The Chateau Luchey-Halde has a unique story: a reborn.

This historic vineyard disappeared in the XXth century but its lands were preserved from urbanization thanks to the army's takeover. The latter occupied the place for 80 years. Later on, in 1999, Bordeaux Agro Sciences (a National School of Agricultural Engineers) acquired the land to ... see more

We arrived early, staff were very accommodating. Tour itself led by a very nice young man, with good English thankfully, (our French is rubbish !). Tour was great, we would highly recommend it, and the tasting at the end very enjoyable with lovely wines, that we bought 2 bottles of. Highly recommended.

La visite était super et très instructive. Activité très sympa à faire entre amis. Petit plus pour la session d'apprentissage à la dégustation du vin, chose qu'on ne voit pas toujours dans la visite de certains domaines ! Je recommande vivement.
