I had the chance to visit Haut-Bages Libéral and have a vertical tasing. Michelle gave me a fantastic overview of the chateau, its relation to Château Ferrière and La Gurgue, but also the wine making process with all its details. Clearly, a very advanced wine maker when it comes to biodynamic and the owners go to great length for this. I then had the chance to taste 4 different vintages, none of them I had bought before, but then Michelle offered me to taste the 2005 instead of the 2003 as I had bought some 2005 already, but not open it yet which was fantastic (the 2005 is still too young to drink). Michelle also gave me the opportunity to taste the 2014 Dufort-Vivens which belongs to the same group of châteaux, but is in Margaux and which I had never tasted before. So overall, a great experience by a very charming and knowledgeable host. Highly recommended!

Nous avons été accueillis pour une visite privée par un guide passionnant et passionné qui nous a présenté l'historique du domaine. Je félicite particulièrement les propriétaires et leurs équipes pour leur démarche de longue haleine qui permet d'obtenir des vins de grande qualité en respectant l'environnement et la santé des consommateurs grâce à leur approche en biodynamie..J'espère que leurs techniques serviront de modèle pour tous les viticulteurs... Nous avons apprécié la dégustation des différentes cuvées avec des mets différents et des associations très surprenantes mais très réussies! Nous avons passé un excellent après-midi et nous recommandons vivement cette visite originale !

An incredible visit in the heart of a Pauillac Grand Cru wine producer, with all the technical details and tasting perfectly conducted by our tour guide, Michelle.
