We had a visit just for the three of us with a really nice woman calle Manon. Cozy, intimate and fun. Best way to start the day and the journey in Bordeaux.

A brilliant intimate tour and wine tasting. Our guide was so informative and engaging. I highly recommend !!!!

We did an English language tour with owner Karen who was a highly informative and passionate guide. We learnt not only about the estate but also some of the appellation rules that we hadn’t come across elsewhere during our visit. The location is beautifully quiet and the tasting in the shade on the lawn was a perfect end to our visit. Wonderful to taste some single varietal wines as well as the more traditional blend of the region. Highly recommend

After a very informative and detailed tour, we did a wine tasting. It was very enjoyable.

Le propriétaire est un homme enthousiaste et passionné par son travail et très pédagogue. Nous avons passé un agréable moment et avons appris beaucoup de choses sur la vigne, les différents types de cépages et de vins. C'est une personne avec beaucoup de connaissances qu'il aime partager. La dégustation de vins à la fin de la visite a été là cerise sur le gâteau. A recommander fortement :-)

Just today we visited Château Bernateau and had the most amazing experience.After an interesting description and presentation about the different soils and microclimates of Bordeaux, the appellations of Bordeaux, and the wine-growing zones of Bordeaux, there was also a lot of information about the specifics of the winery and how they make their wines differently, which was both enjoyable and very interesting.Understanding the differences between the various appellations, and how wine production is approached in Germany compared to France, was particularly interesting for me, especially from a marketing and sales perspective, as I work in marketing and sales myself.Regarding the tasting, the main thing I enjoyed was that we first tasted the Merlot and then the 100% Cabernet Franc before finally comparing them in a blend. This helped us better understand the unique characteristics of each grape variety.A great aspect of this tour in particular is that they make the effort to include this educational element. They also take the effort not to blend some of the wines, instead bottling them as 100% Merlot or 100% Cabernet Franc, which allows visitors to understand the differences much more clearly.All in all, it was the perfect highlight of our trip and a wonderful way to round off our experience here before heading to the ocean for the last few days of our trip, before we sadly have to return home.

Nous avons visité le château en mai 2025 et avons passé un excellent moment. La personne qui nous a accompagnés pendant la visite était très agréable, et nous avons particulièrement apprécié les anecdotes ainsi que les explications sur la fabrication du vin et le vignoble bordelais.La dégustation finale a eu lieu dans le jardin de la propriété, un endroit vraiment agréable et bucolique, qui a rendu l’expérience encore plus appréciable. Les vins dégustés étaient également très bons.Excellent rapport qualité-prix, merci encore — nous recommandons vivement cette visite !
