Château Chauvin, Grand Cru Classé

We had a great time there tasting three red wines while holding an interesting conversation with our host. The location is really quiet, far apart from the village, but if you don’t have a car, even the 50-min walk to the château is worth the time and effort. The tasting room has great views of the vineyards through giant glass windows. I would definitely recommend this experience.

I visited Chateau Chauvin with my 3 children aged 5, 10 and 12. The experience was a huge success for us all.I wanted the children to have an opportunity to learn more about French culture and the wine making process, this fit the bill. The tour was informative, whilst being fun.The children were able to run around the vineyard; independently explore inside the winery itself; sample the unique taste of each grape variety (plucked straight from the vine); and even had a formal grape juice tasting. A fabulous way to make wine accessible to all ages. I couldn’t recommend the experience more.In addition to learning about the wine making process, I was also interested to learn about the journey the brand has been on and how it is adapting to meet the needs of today’s consumers.The venue is beautiful. Bright, contemporary and set in stunning Saint Emilion.

It was enjoyed by all who attended. Beautiful setting with a fascinating and engaging tour of the facilities. All questions answered expertly and wines were outstanding, what we'd expect of quality claret. I've set one of my purchases aside for my wife's birthday in October and we are looking forward to enjoying it on our terrace with friends. This was our second visit and we may well bring a different group of friends next year.

Très bel accueil, activité très enrichissante

It was an amazing visit with Mathilde. The Chateau created a very playful format to present the winery process to the kids. My children really enjoyed the time there and the juices they had in the end. I must admit that even the adults enjoyed this new way to understand the winery process without the technical wording of the winemaking process.
