Château Jean Faure, Grand Cru Classé

Nous avons visité ce domaine viticole aujourd’hui et ce fut une expérience absolument exceptionnelle. La visite était très intéressante, bien organisée et riche en informations. Le personnel était accueillant, passionné et a su partager son savoir-faire avec enthousiasme. Quant aux vins, ils étaient tout simplement excellents – chacun avec son propre caractère et une grande finesse. Un moment inoubliable que nous recommandons vivement à tous les amateurs de vin.

I had a great tasing tour at Jean Faure which is a beautiful château which had given up on its Grand Cru Classé status some time ago, only to get it back later. But as a result, it is much less known even if they produce great wine! I got a very valuable explanation about the history, its wine making process and the great effort the current owner is making to make it shine again. I could taste their second wine of 2023 and their first wine of 2019 which was very delicious. Overall a very worthwhile tasting experience!

Notre visite au château Jean Faure a été une expérience mémorable. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis, ce qui a immédiatement créé une ambiance conviviale. La dégustation de Saint Émilion était exceptionnelle, chaque vin proposant un bouquet riche et complexe qui témoigne du savoir-faire du domaine. La visite des installations a également été très intéressante, nous permettant de mieux comprendre le processus de vinification. Je recommande vivement cette expérience à tous les amateurs de vin. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter lors de notre prochaine visite dans la région.

Thank you for this amazing tour through a very nice location. We have learnt a lot about organic and biodynamic wine growing and appreciated the tour guided by a very nice and qualified host.

My wife drove past and thought it looked very interesting so went back to the cottage to research Chateau Jean Faure. The website was very cleverly put together and informative. She booked us in the same day and we were not disappointed.Cecilia, our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and explained the different leaves of the vines and how to tell them apart. The fact that Chateau Jean Faure is a certified biodynamic vineyard - was amazing to us!The tour of the new cellar was really an eye opener! Generations and generations of thought, trial and error (and failure too) has gone into making a 750ml bottle and this was explained in that hour tour. It has really given us a greater appreciation for wine and the makers thereof. We cannot recommend this more highly if we tried. It was packed with so much information and then the tasting in the end is so worth it. We walked away buying two of those bottles knowing the hours and effort that went into making them - we will be giving them the right amount of time and appreciation.

Accueil agréable, la visite est cependant relativement rapide et basique. Cela manque de personnalité, ça reste très succinct. Pour 20 euros, il y a mieux dans le vignoble bordelais.

Visite guidée réalisée le mardi 17 juin. À seulement 2 pas de libourne, je découvre un magnifique domaine. L’accueil est irréprochable et j’ai eu la chance d’avoir une visite privée pour découvrir l’ensemble du processus. De la vigne au verre que cela porte bien son nom. Les explications sont détaillées et enrichies de petites anecdotes. J’ai adoré. Quant au vin, il est magnifique. Pourquoi ai-je choisi de visiter ce domaine : parce qu’il est en biodynamic et ça change tout. Merci
