About the winery

Domaine Chanson, founded in 1750, was one of the first wineries in Beaune.

Our 88-hectare vineyard, mainly Premier Cru on the Côte de Beaune, is located in some of Burgundy's most beautiful villages, including Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet, Aloxe-Corton, Pernand-Vergelesses, Mercurey and Rully.

Our host was an excellent speaker and was knowledgeable and genuinely pleasant. We enjoyed our time together and the setting was lovely. Wines were not my favorite but they were pleasant--I prefer white wine to be chilled too--overall a great experience.

Le lieu est déjà sublime ! Nous avons été accueilli par un charmant jeune homme qui avait une belle connaissance du domaine. Nous avons pu déguster les quelques vins dans la demeure familiale qui est somptueuse ! La dégustation a été réussie, les vins sont vraiment intéressants.

La personne qui nous a reçu a été très sympathique. Explications données très intéressantes. Les vins goutés sont excellents (après toujours un peu cher). En résumé 3/4h très agréable.

Nous avons apprécié l’originalité de cette « cave »,dont la visite était enrichissante, ainsi que la salle de dégustation qui est ornée de très belles décorations. Tout au long de cette visite, il nous a été conté quelques anecdotes amusantes et intéressantes. Guide aimable et disponible. Quant aux vins (x6), nous avons eu toutes les explications souhaitées et la dégustation fût fort agréable sur de bons, voire très bons millésimes.
