About the winery

Since 1936, when grandfather André Charbaut planted his first vines on the privileged slopes of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, the Charbaut family has been determined to preserve the family essence and the uniqueness of its products.

Nous avons tout aimé : les explications très intéressantes durant la visite des caves ainsi que la dégustation avec une hôtesse charmante. Cette belle découverte restera un de nos meilleurs souvenirs de week-end au coeur de nos régions.

I booked this last minute having only arrived in the area the night before. Ana my host was so welcoming, providing a thoroughly enjoyable and informative tour and was able to answer any questions I had. I was a complete novice to tasting and Ana made the experience relaxed providing guidance and advice. I would highly recommend both the experience and the delicious Champanges. Thank you :)

Visite de cave très intéressante Interlocuteur disponible et sympathique Dégustation agréable des différentes cuvées. Nous avons rapporté quelques bouteilles pour les apprécier ultérieurement. A conseiller sans hésitation

La visite chez Guy Charbaut s’est très bien déroulée Le jeune homme qui nous a accueilli et accompagné était très sympathique Il nous a expliqué l’ensemble du processus pour confectionner une bouteille de champagne et la visite de la cave s’est montrée très intéressante Lors de la dégustation, là encore, il nous a bien guidé dans le choix des champagne et a donné les caractéristiques de chacun des champagne sélectionné Bref, visite très sympathique à recommander

La cantina si trova nel centro di Mareuil sur Ay (bellissimo villaggio vicino a Ay). Sono stata accolta da Lucas, ragazzo molto preparato e gentile. Ho assaggiato il brut classico, il 100 %meunier 2016 che consiglio vivamente, e la cuvée de réserve vieilles vignes. Il posto e' molto accogliente e carino. Consigliatissimo e poi il prezzo per 3 calici e' 12 euro.

Un accueil chaleureux. Notre guide étudiant hyper sympa. Ses explications très intéressantes et détaillées. Tous les champagnes dégustés très délicieux. Nous avions du mal à choisir. Un grand merci!

Très gentille et très généreuse de son temps ( la guide) ! Belle rencontre avec cette maison et très belles découvertes! Belle salle de dégustation. Nous chercherons à en importer de chez nous au Québec. Selon nous, la façade de l’accueil (bâtiment principal) aurait avantage à être rénovée! J’étais avec mon conjoint Guy Bertrand! Merci encore pour ces beaux moments!!!

La visite des caves initialement prévu pour 14h le vendredi 17 février a été annulée .... 15 mn avant mon arrivée, moyen , très très moyen même....
