About the winery

Maison Champy, founded in 1720, is the first winery to have settled in Burgundy.

Owner of 21 hectares of vineyards on the Côte de Beaune with the main appellation Pernand-Vergelesses, this large house now exploits part of its plots in organic farming, concerned about its environment and the preservation of its magnificent terroir.

The guide is very welcoming and knowledgeable about the Burgundy wine, sharing with us lots of interesting things. The 5 wines we tasted are among the top. Worth doing it :)

Bonjour, Très belle expérience. Hortense est une professionnelle très intéressante et sympathique. Elle a de belles connaissances qu’elle nous a partager. Les vins dégustés étaient très bons ; nous en avons achetés. Bravo à cette belle maison aux infrastructures somptueuses.

Très belle demeure, jolis commentaires, intéressants, mais, c'est certainement une histoire de goûts, nous n avons pas été séduits par les vins. Coût assez conséquent pour seulement 5 vins, sans un grand cru

J’ai adoré l’histoire de cette cave, la cave Eiffel, l’histoire de l’intervention de Louis Pasteur dans la vinification et la cave voûtée. Le cadre est magnifique.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and took us for a tour of the cellar. More information could be given on the wines apart from which plot it was from. Overall good quality wine but would be nice if they could give us more water!

Très belle cave. Très riche en information sur les techniques du métier de vigneron. Dégustation de 5 vins, 2 blancs et 3 rouges ! tous excellents . Je recommande.

We Enjoyed very much the visiting in the winery. The guide was professional and informative We weren’t connected to the most of the winds.It of course subject,,I managed most of the wines we tasted, but my wife have difficulty ,with the Pinot Noir.she thinks too much acidity + astringency .
