Since 1746, eight generations have succeeded one another since Nicolas Chiquet planted his first vine. The two brothers Fernand & Gaston Chiquet, who were winegrowers from the start, joined forces in 1919 to create their commercial company: Chiquet Frères. "Pioneers in Champagne, they were the first winegrowers to take this bold ... initiative at the time: to preserve their grapes, make them into champagne and then market them. They obtained their first medal in 1923 in Paris, then their "Gold medal" in Epernay.

After separating from his brother, Gaston Chiquet created his own brand in 1935. Gaston Chiquet and his son Claude expanded the family estate in the 1950s to the terroirs of Aÿ and Hautvillers, bringing new blending alternatives, an essential feature of the Champagne concept. Antoine and Nicolas Chiquet, in their turn, ensure continuity while respecting the ancestral rules. Our essential aim is to maintain the quality requirements of which we are the heirs"; the techniques have been perfected, the tradition persists.

Today, they manage a vineyard of 23 hectares located in the precious area of Dizy, Aÿ (the famous wine of Henri IV), Mareuil sur Aÿ and Hautvillers (cradle of Champagne and home of the famous monk Dom Pérignon). see more
