Château Lastours

What a great visit we had today at Chateau Lastours. Our guide to a broad range of fabulous wines (I’m so sorry not to have found out her name) was informative and entertaining and engaged well with our group. Highly recommended.

We deden een proeverij toen het buiten 42° was, en binnen aangenaam koel. De dame legde in Engels alles goed en begrijpelijk uit. Nam alle tijd, geen haast. Genoeg tijd om de heerlijke wijnen van wit, rosé tot rood, met bubbels of niet, goed te kunnen proeven. Om vragen te stellen en, om gewoon er van te genieten. ? Dank voor een heerlijke proeverij. We gingen uiteraard met de nodige flessen op huis aan.

This was our second time at Château Lastours, and it was just as good as the first. The wine is sublime, and the tasting tour is full of information about the grapes and the wine making process. Like us, you will definitely spend too much on bottles to take home!

Quelle belle rencontre nous avons faite avec Hubert, l’histoire, la passion, le savoir, le partage, la générosité, la qualité exceptionnelle des vins, tout était au rendez-vous. Hubert a su transmettre ses connaissances avec des explications simples et claires, rendant le tout à la fois captivant et agréable. Très belle visite, très complète ( histoire du domaine , vinification etc …). Personnels au top . Cependant un accompagnement de la dégustation des vins par du fromage et de la charcuterie devrait être proposé en option.

It was an amazing experience. The guide of the wine (sorry forgot her name) was so informative about the history of the place and of the wine they make. It’s a pity we cannot buy their wine from Malta. I will recommend 100%.Thanks Marthese

Très belle expérience dans un domaine chargé d'histoire avec un hôte passionné et passionnant (et très patient nous étions 12 adultes déchaînés ??) Très belle dégustation dans un endroit bien frais ??

L'endroit est magnifique, tout comme l'accueil. Les explications d'Hubert, tant sur l'histoire du domaine ou du vin ont été très intéressantes. Même si le temps n'était pas de la partie, le parcours est à faire.

Accueil très chaleureux et convivial par Éva. De son côté, Hubert a su retenir mon attention et mon intérêt durant toute sa présentation historique du vignoble et de la région. Ses explications des différents cépages utilisés et des processus de fabrication de leurs vins (blanc, rouge, rosé, bulles et moelleux) étaient très interessantes avec quelques touches d’humour. La dégustation des vins était généreuse. J’ai été agréablement surprise par la qualité des vins offerts. La seule ombre au tableau: la température n’était pas au rendez-vous pour la visite extérieure! Éva et Hubert, votre simplicité et gentillesse sont aussi tout à votre honneur. Bravo à vous deux et merci d’avoir partagé votre savoir et passion! J’ose espérer voir prochainement vos vins sur les tablettes de notre Société des alcools du Québec!

It was an absolutely wonderful experience for our whole family. We were welcomed warmly. The lady who did the tour were wonderful, knowledgeable and did her best for us (non French speakers) to understand everything. The vineyard is the castle Lastours with a long history.It was very interesting for us to see the historical and modern wine production process the owners of the castle went through during the centuries.Wine tasting were along many examples of own productions of the castle lastours. I remember it was 8 or 9 kind of wine we weee able to taste. Very diverse in texture and flavors.At the end we were giving a wonderful suggestion of a restaurant in the town Gailac, which we went and it turned out to be the perfect ending of the visit.Thank you for the wonderful experience!
