Champagne Joseph Desruets

It was in 1888, in Hautvillers, the very place where Dom Pérignon conceived champagne, that the family business was born. Over the generations, the House has built on its ancestral know-how to produce wines with the specificities and aromas that make it a unique champagne. Today, Matthias, his wife Sabine, and Thomas Desruets are the sixth ... generation to carry on the tradition. Born in Seoul and adopted by a Champagne winemaking couple, they have chosen to pass on the passion for wine instilled by their adoptive parent: François.

If there's one thing we're particularly proud of, it's the perfect preservation of our family wine press. The Darcq Flamain press, in use since 1888, is a unique collector's item, rare in the Champagne region and indeed worldwide.

Our vineyard covers 2.2 hectares in Hautvillers, Grande Vallée de la Marne, Premier Cru. Since 2010, all work in the vines and vineyards has been carried out without the use of synthetic products, herbicides or insecticides, with the utmost respect for the environment. Our estate is AB certified (certification planned for the end of 2023). All vineyard work is carried out manually and mechanically. see more
