La champagnerie TIXIER è a gestione familiare...curano il percorso dello champagne come fosse un figlio...cordiali e competenti, non lesinano gli assaggi e dobbiamo dire che fanno dell'ottimo champagne...soprattutto il rose'...imperdibile!!!

We had a great time, and the owner of the vineyard gave us the tour. She, her husband and 2 sons are running the place. There was a warm welcome, we even visited their cellars, and tasted 3 very tasty champagnes at the end of the tour (and there was juice for our kids). Visite passionnante avec Audrey. Un véritable voyage à travers l'histoire, le savoir faire et la passion. C'était vraiment très intéressant, concret et complet. Il existe même des visites du vignoble à vélo, cela donne envie de revenir pour découvrir autre chose. Merci beaucoup pour ce partage et nos échanges. La dégustation est très bien également, le rosé de saignée a fait l'unanimité chez nous. Je recommande vivement !! J'ai aussi beaucoup aimé le fait que la famille Tixier met en avant dans sa boutique des vins de vignerons indépendants français. Bravo et encore merci !!

fijne rondleiding bij één van de zovele kleinere champagnehuizen in de omgeving van Reims. Audrey Tixier, die zelf de rondleiding verzorgde, legde ons in heel verstaanbaar Engels het volledige productieproces uit en lichtte ons in over de streek, de druivensoorten en al wat er te weten valt over "champagne". Er werd ook zonder moeite antwoord gegeven op de vragen die gesteld werden. De proeverij was een gezellige én lekkere afsluiter van een zeer aangenaam bezoek . Zeker de moeite waard als je in de omgeving bent (en het dorpje Chigny-les-Roses is ook heel charmant).

At Michel Tixier we were very friendly welcomed by the owner at their shop. There were quite some people, but it felt like we all got the attention and instructions that were needed in order for different tours that started around the same time. It felt well organised.The son of the owner took us on a tour, his explanation was very clear, he made sure to check if everything was clear and if anyone would have questions, he took time and made sure to see and hear everyone. When we complimented him on his English, he proudly explained he did his best to learn everything by heart to do the tour in English; very well done!Although the champagne house is relatively "small" with 9 hectares, the production process, the work and cellars were very impressive. It was a lot of fun that we could try la remuage ourselves, to not only see, but also feel the logics behind it.At the end of the tour we were welcomed back at their shop for the dégustation of 3 wonderful champagnes. The taste was excellent, the 3rd rose champagne was surprisingly nice and the son explained it was his favourite for dessert with red fruits.We can highly recommend this tour and champagne house. It is informative, clear, but especially very personal, warm and the champagnes are amazing!PS: We were with 3 young kids, they also enjoyed the tour and during the little walks in between it was nice that they got nice attention too, even though the youngest of only 1 year old was tired and cried every now and then. We still felt welcomed.

As a small group of Italian friends, we really enjoyed the visit! It's a family-owned business and we had plenty of time to learn step-by-step about the production method. Wine tasting was relaxing and we had a chance to try different styles before buying them at a very competitive price, international shipping included. Recommended!
