Located between Bordeaux and the Périgord Noir, rooted in the heart of the Bergerac vineyards, the Château de Monbazillac is one of the most imposing in the south-west of the department. We enjoyed our visit to Monbazillac and felt it included lots of different things to see. The museum was very interesting, the grounds and view were beautiful and the chateau was very grand. There was a lot to see inside as well and the tasting to finish was perfect. We went at 10am so it was nice and quiet and not too hot. Can imagine a visit when the restaurant is open would also be lovely.

Après la visite très intéressante du château de Monbazillac, nous avons beaucoup apprécié la dégustation de 3 vins. L'œnologue nous a donné une foule d'informations de manière très sympathique, avec des explications en anglais pour nos amis allemands, et les vins étaient délicieux. Un grand merci !

Nous avons pu visiter le château et faire une dégustation de 3 vins. Marie, la sommelière était très accueillante et à l'écoute de nos questions. Je recommande.

Tasting came as part of the wider tour of the museum and chateau both of which are very impressive. Only meant to get one tasting but the lady indulged us with a few more. Lovely sweet wines and reds also strong. Would recommend.

My wife and I throughly enjoyed our visit. The Château and grounds are very nice and the views are fantastic. The tasting afterwards was excellent.

Visite intéressante. La fabrication du vin et l'origine du château sont clairement expliqués avec un parcours ludique et moderne. Boutique agréable avec des vendeuses sympathiques, connaissant leurs vins, mais sans forcer à l'achat. On repart avec de bonnes bouteilles après la dégustation offerte. Un bon moment !
