About the winery

The chapter of our estate begins in 1742, with the arrival of Jean-Francois Baud who settled as a winegrower in Vernois. Then, in the 1900s, René Baud came along, representing the 7th generation. Wonderful tour and tasting!

We had such a wonderful time on our tour and tasting. Our guide (sadly, we all missed her name) was terrific—knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and open to our many questions. We so enjoyed spending time with her. She walked us through the cellars, providing just the right amount of detail on history and winemaking methods. And she similarly guided us through all the wines during the tasting, explaining how they are made and how the making imparts different aromas and flavors. A great experience!
