We had such a wonderful experience at this wine tasting. Célia was extremely welcoming and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable even with our 2 children in tow (2 & 5 years old). Her storytelling really brought the history and character of Beaujolais to life & helped us gain a deeper appreciation not only for the wines (which were lovely!) but also for the passion, heritage and dedication involved in this craft. A perfect balance of warmth, knowledge and hospitality. Highly recommend!

We wanted something a little different to start our wine tour of the Rhine valley and these guys certainly delivered that. A great fun and informative tour with superb wines ranking far higher than we anticipated for the money. If you’re in the region and looking for some fun visit Celia and David for sure.

This was one of the best visits I've been on. Celia was a fantastic host who gave a personal tour of the estate, we came away with a real appreciation for what they are trying to achieve with their wines. The range of wines is extensive and Celia was really helpful in guiding us in which wines we should try. We all thought all of the wines were super tasty and had an excellent QPR. We ended up taking 3 cases home so that pretty much says it all. The surroundings of the estate are picturesque and if you need some lunch after a visit, the Moroccan bistro down the hill is recommended. In short this is a must visit.

There are generally two types of wine tour experiences - the first is highly impersonal and makes you feel like you are just another piece on the assembly line. The second gives you an intimate, heartfelt and authentic glimpse into not only the process but also the story of the winemakers themselves. This was the later. Celia, with her witty and charming approach, walked us through the fields as she spoke about her and David's life in the wine business and David's family before as well. She spoke about the terroir, the grapes and the history in a way that was interesting but also accessible. As millennials ourselves, their story about navigating France's wine business resonated with us. What's more - the wines are excellent and are worth bringing home as we did. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for wine tours in Beaujolais.

Our family of 6 (including myself, my wife and our 4 kids ages 15-22) did the 2 hour tour and tasting with Celia today. It was an amazing experience! Her kindness, hospitality and passion for the area, the wine and their family’s wine making was evident from start to finish. She took time to answer all of our questions and showed us 2 different plots, both old and new vines. We met their new “helpers”, their group of pigs to help them maintain their organic status while still keeping the grasses under control. After that, we got to taste 4 very different wines and left with 2 of them to take home (we would have bought more, but wasn’t sure how many we could safely transport back to the US). ☺️ I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants a personalized experience and some amazing memories.

When we decided for a wine tour near Lyon, we decided for a small wineyard in the Beaujolais villages. And we had been right! It was an amazing tour with Celia. Thanks a lot for all this informations abut the valley, presenting your wineyard and the warm welcome as well! We booked the 2 hour tour in the different wine plots and after visiting for the wine tasting. We got a lot of informations about the region, the wines, historical background and the future of the Beaujolais villages wines. You can by card and by the organic wines of them directly in the small family cellar where the wine tasting takes place. We highly recommend the tour with Celia! Later on we had the chance to meet David as well and the little, cute employees - the Kune Kune-Pigs :-) In total it was over 2.5 hours of fun and joy to see, how winemaking can be driven by lots of passion.

Our visit at Celia & David Large was nothing short of a complete delight. Celia is a charming host who explains the wines and the goals of the winery with joy. The vineyards are some of the steepest in the area, so all the work is a labor of love. The wines are all natural, fresh, and lovely. We highly recommend a visit to this small family venture, especially if you enjoy natural wines.

Nous avons passés un super moment avec Célia. Visite des vignes avec le soleil en prime. Nous avons découverts l histoire des vignes de la famille exploitées depuis plusieurs génération, c était très intéressant. La dégustation s est super bien déroulée avec une découverte de vins différents aux étiquettes très originales!Enfin , un excellent moment passé au domaine. Nous remercions Célia pour son accueil et son professionnalisme.
