About the winery

Domaine Large in Beaujolais Villages.
Montmelas and its suburbs are the terroir of choice, with a few crus for a bit of a journey.
These are 8.5 ha of Chardonnay and Gamay Noir slopes.
David, a child of Beaujolais, has been at the helm of the domaine since 2012, and Célia, a Catalan transfer in 2019, for a team combo.

Bodega situada en un zona preciosa. Excelente atención por la dueña Celia, muy bien explicado todo en inglés. Degustación de vinos fantásticos, se han adaptado a nuestros gustos, y nos han ido poniendo vinos acorde al momento y en función de lo que íbamos hablando. Muy recomendable la visita. Muy bien los precios de los vinos. Gracias por este fantástico momento.

What a fabulous morning with Celia. I would highly recommend anyone wishing to learn more about wine, how it is grown and the lives of those involved to visit this wonderful little business - enthusiasm from everyone involved - we learned how hard it is to produce grapes on the lovely sloping hills of Beaujolais, tasted delicious organic wine and understood just how much work goes into it from all small producers throughout the region. Thank you Celia for you hospitality. We highly recommend your tasting and hope your business goes from strength to strength.

We went on a hot friday afternoon, but we loved the experience. Celia is super friendly and can tell you a lot about the plots they own and their wine ofcourse.We had a great time, and we would definately recommend it!

Merci à Célia pour une excellente expérience. Leur propre histoire est très intéressante, et tout sur leurs vins et terroirs également. Et surtout, ils font de bons vins. En plus, elle a tout fait en anglais pour que toute la famille puisse en profiter. C'était vraiment une grande réussite!

Très bonne maitrise de l'anglais qui a permis à nos amis mexicains de totalement profiter du moment.L'histoire de leur parcours et de leurs vins est très intéressante et donne une belle vision de la nouvelle génération de viticulteurs.Et niveau qualité, les vins sont très bien travaillés et très équilibré !Un sans-faute ;)

Despite having visited and toured a number of Beaujolais vineyards over our two visits to the region, we always expect to learn some thing new. Never was this more so than on our visit to Celia and David Large’s winery. Celia was an excellent guide, and her knowledge and passion for Gammay, and their own terroir, along with our tasting of four different but very well made wines, made for a memorable morning. We would highly recommend this tour and tasting experience.
