Domaine Saint Clair

At Domaine Saint Clair, wine is a passion and a family affair.

The story begins in 1967, with the first vines planted by Lucien Basset, who at the time was a horticulturist. Later, his son Denis Basset took over the family business. He juggled between the geraniums and the bunches of Syrah, and every harvest he took the grapes to the Tain ... l'Hermitage cooperative cellar.

In 2007, he gave up horticulture, built his own cellar and finally launched his first cuvées. The name of the winery echoes a significant event in his life: an electrical accident that occurred in the vineyards on Saint Clair Day, a reference that became obvious.

Today, on 20 hectares of certified organic land in Beaumont-Monteux, we produce authentic cuvées in Crozes-Hermitage and Saint-Joseph, true to our terroir and our commitment to respectful viticulture. see more
