Great hospitality

A warm welcome and the most hospitable tour and tasting. Our host was first class and the wines were incredibly interesting. Great variety of Malbec to compare and contrast with an interesting white or rose to get started. Not cheap (we spent over €450 on 12 bottles) and there’s a tasting charge on top. Definitely worth the visit and the quality of the wines helps justify the expense.

We really liked the visit and the tasting, especially comparing the wines made from the same grape variety but grown in two days places. The sommelier was very professional and friendly.
Chateau de Mercules - worth the visit! Tour and tasting

Tour and tasting - four wines. Initially delayed starting due to other guests not turning up, not the Chateau’s fault, our host was excellent. The tour of the wine cellar and surrounds was informative and very interesting. The ‘important’ bit, in his words, was th le tasting. We sampled four excellent wines - rose, white and two reds. If I say we left with a case of wine, you’ll know ot was worth going! Make the effort!

Le château est superbe, la vue est magnifique, surplombant la vallée du Lot. La visite guidée est très intéressante et vaut vraiment la peine.

Très bon accueil, très bonne adaptation à la demande des clients, la visite a pu se dérouler à la fois en anglais mais également en français, cela était très appréciable. Visite à faire que l'on soit novice comme moi ou profane.

Beautiful chateau, lovely reception and excellent tour by interesting, knowledgeable guide speaking in French and English, happy to answer all our questions. We are planning on going back to stay after the tour included the lower floor of the chateau/hotel!
