Château de Juliénas

We had an amazing day at Château de Julienas. Fabulous Anita showed us around the castle and then she took us to the wine factory to show us the process of wine making. The view from the Chateau is gorgeous. We learned a lot about the history of wine making on the estate and then Anita took us to the cellars. It was truly fascinating. We then tasted a few wines and bought a few bottles. Delicious. Thank you Anita. Highly recommended.

Nous avons été accueillies par une dame qui a pris soin dès le départ d’évaluer notre expérience dans le domaine (en l’occurrence faible). Elle nous a expliqué tous les tenants et aboutissants du métier, du réchauffement climatique et de l’incertitude que cela engendrait pour le commerce. Nous avons eu l’impression d’une discussion sans filtre et honnête. Nous avons pu visiter la salle des cuves dans laquelle elle a pu nous expliquer en détail le processus de fabrication, puis la cave où nous avons pu apprendre l’importance des types de fut. Nous avons été très bien accueillies. La dégustation était excellente et chaleureuse. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir!

Super moment . Un passage obligé pour découvrir le beaujolais et l exigeant métier de viticulteur. Anita nous a transmis la passion que Thierry met dans ses vins. Merci pour votre accueil.

Anita gave us an amazing tour of the chateau. First off... i have to say the Julienas region is so beautiful! the drive to the chateau was so inspiring... we pulled off several times to take photos. Anita was a perfect tour guide... she was hilarious, incredibly knowledgable & was able to answer all questions.I learned so much about the region, managing a winery & the challenges the industry is facing making wine in 2024.....this was so educational! This was a great experience & i am happy we booked it. If you love a traditional carbonic macerated gamay, you will be a big fan of their wines!Thanks Anita!

Anita gave us an excellent tour and insight to the history of the chateau. We were most impressed with the cellars dating back to 1744 and learning about the huge barrels that were used on the trains by SNCF in the past. Anita is a super welcoming host and is able to answer all questions, we appreciated her telling us about the journey of the winery going organic and the related challenges. On most chateau visits we learn something, during this visit we learned a lot!

Really interesting and informative tour, fabulous wine in beautiful surroundings. No pressure to buy, but we did because it was delicious. Highly recommend this experience.

We were very pleased with the event. We made a warm entrance with Anita's wonderful hospitality. Anita told us a lot about the building and the area. We learned all the processes from planting and picking grapes to turning them into wine. Afterwards, we visited the cellar and saw the wine barrels. Here again Anita gave us a lot of information. And finally we moved on to tasting. We had a tasting in a stylish environment in a historical building. The wines here and the information given were very good. Anita's English was very good and she was very welcoming. I would like to thank him again from here.
